We’ve included a few select photo frames from the Fayetteville Arts Coalition’s Holiday Art Exhibit on December 7, 2013 at the former FAC Gallery in Fayetteville, WV. Guests and artists abound, we were popping tags and passing out cream pies (literally lol) until the rooster crowed or it was time for the kids to go to bed, whatevs.
A stellar evening was had by all thanks to the hard work put in by the FAC staff and the artists. We’re looking forward to working more closely with FAC and other artists in Southern West Virginia in the future.

Gruss vom Krampus Funk from your friends at BrianZickafoose.com.
Have you been naughty or nice this year? I’m pretty sure Krampus is going to get a few of you.

This time of year the whole world over, folks gather round with friends and loved ones to reflect on the highlights of year that has passed and the abundance of blessings it has brought. It is a time to be thankful for all the wonderful fruits that the universe has provided for us and to remember those who have been less fortunate.
The essence of the season is more than just the giving of physical gifts, it is the sharing of love, helping others and coming together as a community.
One doesn’t always have to buy things to get in the spirit of giving. Sometimes free stuff is the best. Pass along a smile. Hug someone. Buy a stranger a cup of coffee. Random acts of kindness are really contagious.
Regardless of what religious tradition or spiritual path you may follow, we sincerely hope each every one of you have an amazing, and safe, holiday season.

Ancient River in Autumn :: New River Gorge, West Virginia
Original 36 x 24 x 2 Inch Acrylic and Oil Painting on Canvas
By Brian C. Zickafoose
Visionary artist Brian C. Zickafoose re-envisions the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia in his latest painting, Ancient River in Autumn. This unique perspective offers a surreal westward view from Fayette Station of the ancient New River winding below the iconic arching bridge, as autumn’s brilliant colors subdue the luscious mountain landscape. Now you can bring this beautiful painting home. Both available size formats are easily framed and make a great gift for any West Virginian. Grab yours up while supplies last!
On November 2, 2013, my partner Jeannine and I made a psychedelic pilgrimage to the home of artists’ Alex and Allyson Grey at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in Wappinger, NY to attend a Visionary Salon hosted by legendary author/investigative journalist, Graham Hancock, who spoke to a group of about 100 people about the mysteries of the ancients, shamanic journeys, psychedelic spirituality, and new archeological discoveries that are currently being unveiled around the world, which strongly suggest that our civilization and history is much older and richer than modern science currently accepts.
The weather was crisp and beautiful as we explored the grounds of CoSM in awe and wonder of the amazing CoSMic scene that Alex and Allyson have established there.
The grounds at CoSM are truly enchanted and there are many stimulating visual art installations from prominent visionary artists, such as Chris Dyer.
The main house is a masterpiece of Victorian design and contains many works from Alex Grey and Allyson. Unfortunately, Alex Grey’s most famous works, the Sacred Mirrors, were safely tucked away in storage, patiently awaiting the opening of the Entheon Building, once its construction is complete.
After spending time at CoSM, we both fell in love with the place and have decided to have our wedding there next year! The entire experience was life altering to say the least.
In the meantime, we look forward to visiting CoSM again very soon.
A bejeweled winged serpent ascends from a crevice in the campground, armed with emerald shards and slithers towards the shimmering sun. Like its cosmic cousin -the epic oro bouros- the winged serpent, in a gesture of rebirth and renewal, eternally consumes its tail seeking to fulfill its voracious appetite.

We are pleased to announce that artist Brian Zickafoose will be a guest in the upcoming New Directions art exhibit and opening night celebration hosted by The Fayetteville Arts Coalition on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6:00-11:00pm. Born and raised in Fayette County, WV, the show is a homecoming of sorts for Zickafoose, who recently returned to the area after having spent a decade working and residing in Roanoke, Virginia. New Directions will exhibit select original paintings by Zickafoose along with the work of fifteen local artists (Mike Turner, Meredith Gregg, Tracy Martin, Tara Fowler, Paul Corbit Brown, Tandi Stephens, Sara Miller, Julie Wingard, Brad and Emily Weckesser, Ron Hall, Adam Morton, Doug Coleman, Ginger Danz and Shea Wells). Shop for paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photography, glass etchings, and wood carvings – there’s something for everyone. The highlight of opening night festivities will be the official unveiling of a new metal sign sculpture by world renowned metal designer Jeff Fetty. The new sign stands as a symbol to mark Fayetteville’s arrival on the world stage as a pinnacle outdoor lifestyle and arts destination. Situated on the corner of Keller Avenue and Court Street in Fayetteville, the sculpture bolsters whimsical arrows pointing towards Moab, Yosemite, and Zambezi — three world class destinations that are also renowned for mountain biking, rock climbing and whitewater. Don’t worry if you can’t attend opening night, the Fayetteville Arts Coalition Fine Arts Cooperative will be open Friday through Sunday during the month of December.
